Our Ballerina Canopy Sauvignon Blanc 2015 (89 points), Limited Release Sparkling Saperavi (90 points) and Limited Release Prosecco 2015 (88 points) have been given the thumbs up by none other than James Halliday in his just released Australian Wine Companion 2017.
These join our Tobacco Road Pinot Noir 2015 (94 points) and Limited Release Viognier 2015 (90 points) - both out of stock - as wines that also scored well on this prestigious list.
This strong result led to Gapsted Wines retaining its four star rating in the Australian Wine Companion 2017, which defines the winery as a "very good producer of wines with class and character".

Gapsted Wines' long lunch - held on September 17 and 18 - is just that, an opportunity to put aside the best part of an afternoon at our award-winning restaurant to savour some of the region’s finest food and wines.
It is the perfect setting for what is a unique dining experience. Where possible, ingredients are sourced from growers in the local region, while all of our dishes are carefully matched with Gapsted's finest wines - a true culinary treat from the Alpine Valleys region.

Our Valley Selection 2016 Riesling has won a silver medal at the Melbourne International Wine Competition.
This King Valley white wine was selected from among almost 800 wines from across nine countries.
This special wine shows refined floral aromas combined with zesty lime and cinnamon spice. These aromas lead to a palate with layers of complex crisp green apple, nashi pear and lemon, which are superbly balanced by clean citrusy acidity with great length and depth.
Best drunk now, you can try it with smoked trout on a bed of rocket, sage and radish
served with citrus and herb mayonnaise.
